BIOGRAPHY
After a brilliant musical career conscientiously built in Cuba where she receives the Adolfo Guzman Award and collaborates with numerous prestigious cuban musicians ( Orquestra Anacaona, Omara Portuondo & Buena Vista Social Club, Alain Pérez, Manolito Simonet, Tata Guines, Miles Peña etc..), Jany McPherson, pianist, singer and songwriter, settles down in France.
Quickly noticed by French producer Yves Chamberland (Nina Simone, Henri Salvador, Michel Petrucciani, Richard Galliano), she records in 2011 her first album in France backed up by prestigious musicians (Didier Lockwood, Andy Narell, Michel Alibo, Olivier Louvel, Thierry Fanfant, etc.). The album is broadcasted on the French National Radio Network (France Inter, France Bleue, etc.) and numerous jazz radios.
-The album is nominated « Cubadisco Internacional », similar to « Midem » for the international market of latin music, in the category « Best Album of Contenporary Songs ».
-The second album recorded in Europe, « Blues Side Live », a live album, also reiterates the nominations the following year, and the congratulations of the jury and personalities such as Chucho Valdes.
Following this, collaborations on stage, where she is accompanied by renowned musicians such as Mino Cinelu, Andy Narell, Michel Alibo, Orlando «Maraca» Valle, Pierre Bertrand, Irving Acao, Rafael Paseiro, Nicolas Viccaro, Pippo Matino, Minino Garay, Thierry Fanfant, Hadrien Feraud, Olivier Louvel, and his life-long accomplice Dominique Viccaro,etc…
Her last album « Solo Piano! », recorded in Rome, will come out on June 1st, 2020. Dedicated exclusively to her instrument, she entirely devotes « him » this opus, where passion, virtuosity and melodies from the heart commingle.
